Melissa Lobes is the Artistic Director and Owner of The Difference Dance. She has been choreographing for over 15 years and received her BFA in Choreography from Columbia College Chicago.

We embrace a learning environment that will prepare students for the stage and beyond. 

The Difference was created to facilitate young dancers’ development into artists by expanding their definition of dance into an exploration of abstract concepts. The program focuses on technique, performance, improvisation and scholarship.
